This dynamic K-pop track blends drum and bass with Jersey club rhythms, showcasing a unique fusion of cutting-edge AI technology and heartfelt musical expression. The song is the result of a powerful collaboration between SK Telecom (SKT), the Korea Federation of Disabled Persons’ Organizations (KPDO), Parastar Entertainment, and the Gyeonggi-do Cultural Foundation.
brighT: A Celebration of AI Innovation and Inclusivity
To mark the 25th anniversary of SKT and KPDO’s commitment to advancing IT skills for young people with disabilities, the Happy AI Coding Challenge took place in October 2024. Participants composed original songs and designed album covers with the help of artificial intelligence. The winning creation, brighT, is an upbeat, joyful anthem with lyrics that inspire hope for a brighter future.
The track was composed by Woo Youngsoo, with lyrics penned by Yesan Dream School students Jang Sunghyuk and Park Jongkwon, winners of the Happiness AI Challenge. The visually stunning album artwork, titled Light of the World, was crafted by Choi Soyeon and Han Hyowon, winners of the Dream Challenge category from Daegu Gwangmyeong School, in collaboration with artist Doomin, who planned and created the world’s first AI collaboration work under the theme “Dokdo”. The artwork highlights themes of a healthier planet and ocean, aligning with the song’s uplifting message.
