First impressions mean everything when you’re a pre-debut K-pop group.
EMOTI:M (이모티엠), DNA Entertainment’s upcoming five-member boy group, is already drawing attention ahead of their July 31, 2026 debut. Made up of members Ju Hyun, Rei, Yeong Ho, Chan Yul, and Jin Won, the rookie team brings together talent from South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong under a concept centered on emotional connection through music. Their name combines the words “emotion” and “music,” reflecting the group’s goal of delivering comfort, encouragement, and understanding through their artistry.
EMOTI:M’s fans are known as MO:TI (모티), a combination of “motivation” and “emotion,” representing the strong bond between the members and their supporters.
Meet the Members
Ju Hyun
The group’s leader and main rapper brings a strong musical foundation to EMOTI:M. A songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who plays drums, bass, and guitar, Ju Hyun arrives with experience as a former member of the band GB5.

Rei
Representing Japan in the lineup, vocalist Rei combines athleticism with performance. His interests range from soccer and running to gaming and dance, bringing a versatile energy to the group.

Yeong Ho
Born in Hong Kong, vocalist Yeong Ho may already be familiar to some fans as a dance influencer. His journey between Hong Kong and South Korea in pursuit of debut adds an international dimension to the group’s story. Beyond dance, he has interests in acting, voice impressions, and even 3D animation.

Chan Yul
As the group’s main vocalist, Chan Yul enters EMOTI:M with prior idol experience. Fans of survival shows may recognize him from JTBC’s PROJECT 7, while others may know him from the project group Villain under the name Yujun. His skills extend beyond singing to piano, drawing, dance, and acrobatics.

Jin Won
The maknae, Jin Won serves as the group’s main dancer. A student in Dong Seoul University’s K-pop department, he specializes in contemporary dance and rounds out the team with strong performance credentials.

With a multilingual lineup, diverse artistic backgrounds, and a concept rooted in emotional connection, EMOTI:M enters the crowded rookie landscape with a clear identity already taking shape. As their July debut approaches, the group’s challenge will be turning that promise into music that resonates. If their early introductions are any indication, EMOTI:M is hoping listeners won’t just hear their songs, but feel them too.
EMOTI:M’s first single album, Connect, featuring the title track, “Spark,” arrives on Friday, July 31 at noon KST.
